2.8.4: Manage Border and Port Inspection

The processes in this collection define a set of functions related the international border and port inspection of vessels, commercial vehicles and their freight equipment. The processes cover the inspection function itself, as well as the security functions that occur at the border or port inspection facility. The processes also cover the Border Inspection Administration facility, covering registration of carrier, driver, intermodal shipment, or traveler for expedited clearance at an international border crossing or port, as well as pre-processing of intermodal shipment information so that expedited border clearance can take place.
