2.8.4.3: Manage Border and Port Inspection

This process shall provide the administration for the border inspection and port function. The process shall communicate the status of customs/border clearance or a shipment to the intermodal customer, vessel service providers, vessel traffic service systems, distribution and logistics management provider, or fleet. The process shall interface with the Border and Port Inspection System functions of performing the inspection as well as providing security for the border area. The process shall provide a summary of inspection activity to the data archive function.
