3.6.3: Support Remote Vehicle Maintenance and Service

This process shall collect diagnostics and vehicle telematics data from vehicles' onboard equipment that is managed by or part of a subscription service of a vehicle service provider. This process shall analyze the data captured from the vehicles in order to determine any issues, e.g. immediate faults, repair needs, or scheduled maintenance. This process may also collect data from the Support Mobile Device Data Services function for vehicles monitored by that process. This process shall inform the vehicle owner and/or driver of faults or upcoming repair needs. This process shall also enable the over-the-air updates to the onboard software, as appropriate.
