MEC Traffic Monitoring

Overview

'MEC Traffic Monitoring' monitors vehicle probe and safety message data (i.e., basic safety messages) that are sent over the cellular network (i.e., not broadcast over a short range wireless medium), and provides this information to traffic management systems to aid in the management of the transportation network.

This functional object is included in the "Multi-Access Edge Computing" physical object.
