2.8.1.4: Provide Intermodal Terminal Operator Interface

This process shall provide the interface to the Intermodal Terminal Operator. The process shall accept requests for information from interested parties and provide identification of the information to be released to the parties. It shall monitor the release status of freight, including containers or other types of cargo. This process shall receive authorization to load shipments onto vessels from the Border and Port management functions and pass that on to other functions for handling. This process shall provide overall status of the terminal, including open/closed status, hours of operation, queue lengths, and other information to outside transportation information service providers.
