Maritime Terminal Management

Overview

'Maritime Terminal Management' supports the operation of the maritime aspects of an intermodal terminal. The key capabilities include scheduling the use of berths at the terminal, managing the loading and unloading of cargo on the ships at berth, managing longshore and stevedoring labor on the terminal, maintaining site security, including container integrity, and providing an interface to Customs as appropriate.

Requirements

# Requirement
01The Intermodal Terminal shall send the ocean bill of lading on behalf of outbound vessels to other centers.
02The field system shall send the inland bill of lading to interested parties.
03The center shall receive reservation modification request from Ground Transport Management Center (FDLC or Intermodal Terminal).
04The center shall send reservation cancellation to the reservation requestor.
05The intermodal terminal shall receive information describing the date and time of vessel arrival at the terminal from the FDLC.
06The intermodal terminal shall receive information describing the date and time of vessel arrival at its berth from the FDLC.
07The Intermodal Terminal shall receive reservation requests from other centers.
08The Intermodal Terminal shall receive information regarding payment and release of cargo.
09The Intermodal Terminal shall receive information regarding governmental permission to load and secure cargo.
10The center shall receive the inbound vessel berth availability request from newly arriving vessel or their supporting systems.
11The center shall receive the ocean bill of lading from outbound vessels.
12The center shall receive information describing the vessel's location during its journey to the terminal.
13The center shall receive payment information for intermodal shipments.
14The Intemodal Terminal shall provide berth availability information to centers.
15The center shall send information describing cargo handling procedures, times and other relevant information for vessel load/unload to centers.
16The Intermodal Terminal shall send notice of availability of cargo to the beneficiary cargo owner.
17The Intermodal Terminal shall send the shipping manifest for the outbound vessel to centers.
18The center shall send estimated date and time of departure of the outbound vessel from the berth, to centers.
