2.8.5.2: Track Intermodal Shipments

This process shall support the tracking of shipments from origin, through transit, and to their final destination. This process shall interact with other functions that may be responsible for the shipment - cargo, container, other freight equipment, etc. - throughout its journey. In particular, during drayage operatoins this process shall manage the interface with intermodal terminals - sea or other water port or inland intermodal port operations in order to establish movements of containers and drays.In the case of a breach or incident, this process may, depending on the location and status of the breach, need to coordinate with other appropriate parties.
