1.2.6.4: Collect and Store Signal Performance Measures

This process shall collect advanced signal performance measures (ATSPM) from traffic signal devices controled by this Manage Traffic function. This process shall send the collected data to the traffic operations personnel. The data output may be in the form of the raw data feed from the devices, summary reports over specified time periods, or the outputs of analysis supported by the function. This process shall collect inputs from current signal timing plans and traffic control strategies to use for comparison with the metrics being reports. This process, upon request from the operator, will provide the SPM data to the device control processes to select new timing plans based on the SPMs. This process shall manage a store of the signal performance measures for off-line analysis, comparisons to other signals or other times, or to exchange with other Manage Traffic functions. This process shall accept inputs from the traffic operations personnel to configure the stored data or send it to the function for exchange with other centers.
