TMC ATSPM Data Analysis

Overview

'TMC ATSPM Data Analysis' carries out Automated Traffic Signal Performance Measures (ATSPM) and supports objectives and performance-based traffic signal operations, maintenance, and management. It collects high resolution (Hi-Res) signal controller and cabinet events data and uses this information to measure traffic signal performances and identifies maintenance issues for signal system infrastructure. It also suggests signal timing plan and can be passed to the TMC so that the signal timing suggestions can be reflected in future signal retiming activity. It provides an interface to traffic operation personnel and disseminates signal performance measure reports, charts and identified signal system infrastructure maintenance issues, including approach delay, approach speed, arrivals on red (AoR), and Purdue Coordination Diagrams (PCD). This functional object can be implemented either as an integrated module of the Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS) or as a separate software application. The ATSPM application may be executed in another center and shared with the host center.
